Validity of a tradamark

A trademark is valid for ten years from the date of filing.
A trademark can be renewed indefinitely for a period of ten years, provided that the holder of the right in the last year of the ten-year validity period or within nine months from the expiry date to the Office a request for extension of validity the mark and pay the appropriate fees and costs of the procedure.

The new term of protection starts the day after the last day of the previous ten-year period of protection
The content and format of the request for extension of validity of the trademark shall be determined by the Rules.
