As of 21 November 2022, the State Office of Industrial Property of the Republic of North Macedonia (SOIP) will use and accept the list of terms from the Harmonised database of goods and services (HDB) in TMclass.All HDB terms are translated into the languages of all participating offices.
Following the decision of SOIP to use the HDB, there are now 26 IP offices outside the EU that use and accept terms from this database, while the total number of participating national and regional IP offices, including ARIPO, OAPI, WIPO and the EUIPO integrated in TMclass, rises to 91.
TMclass offers users the opportunity to search for and translate goods and services to and from any of the 44 languages available as well as verifying the terms’ correct classification under the Nice classification.
The adoption of the HDB by SOIP is thanks to the EUIPO’s International Cooperation programme in collaboration with its international partners and cooperation between EUIPO and SOIP as well.
