In the framework of the activities of the Coordination Body for Intellectual Property, the State Market Inspectorate, upon receiving reports by the trademark holders and, also, ex officio, on 26 and 27 November 2019 conducted inspections in several economic operators on the territory of the City of Skopje. and the municipalities of Ohrid and Struga.
From a total of 45 conducted supervisions, several irregularities were found in relation to the unauthorized use of the trademark right stated in the reports of the right holder SNB REACT DOO Skopje and also violations were found when acting ex officio. For the violations found during the inspections, the State Market Inspectorate issued 36 misdemeanor payment orders totaling EUR 66,570. The traders' surveillance found products (men's and women's clothing, handbags, belts) of the well-known trademarks "POLO", "LA COSTE", "LOUIS VUITTON", which were put on the market without having the right to use the same. The products in a total value of MKD 111.700.00 were temporarily seized until a final court decision is reached.
