This year is anniversary year for the State Office of Industrial Property - 25 years since the establishment of the Office (1993-2018).
In order to mark this very important date, the Office will organize, in September and October a series of activities related to the promotion of industrial property rights to the wider public as well as to small and medium enterprises, activities with universities, the transfer of technology and meetings and consultations with all stakeholders in the system of protection and enforcement of industrial property rights.
The motto of the celebration will be "Month of the IP - 25 year SOIP"
The month of September will be the "Month of Industrial Property". In this month, a campaign for promotion of industrial property rights will be realized in 6 cities in Macedonia. The campaign will be realized in the following cities: Skopje, Tetovo, Strumica, Bitola, Ohrid and Struga.
In the aforementioned cities, the employees of the Office will have meetings with managers of the municipalities followed by mini-seminars for the business community. At these seminars, the representatives of the business community will be introduced to the importance and benefits of protection and enforcement of industrial property rights.
At the same cities, in the most frequent places, stands will be placed on which promotional materials will be distributed, and the employees of the Office will answer the questions of the interested citizens.
On October 18, the main event for 25 years of SOIP will be held - an international conference on the topic Transfer of technology. The conference will include experts from the World Intellectual Property Organization, the European Patent Organization, the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, as well as professors from our universities.
Also in October, a campaign for the harmfulness of counterfeited products and the consequences of their purchase will be realized.
With the marking of the 25th anniversary and the envisaged activities, the State Office of Industrial Property will contribute to increasing the public awareness of the importance and benefits of protecting the rights of industrial property.
