How is a patent obtained ? The Republic of Macedonia signed the so-called PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) and the so-called Extension to European Patent, the patent can be obtained by: 1. Patent application to the Office for the Protection of Industrial Property ( SIPO ) of the Republic of Macedonia . Second By way of an international patent application with the World Organization for the Protection of Industrial Property (WIPO). 3rd Application to the European Patent Organisation (EPO).
