On 10 July 2014 in Munich, the Bilateral Cooperation Agreement was signed between Dr. Safet Emruli, Director of the State Industrial Property Office, and Mr. François Régis Hannard, Director of the European and International Cooperation Department at the European Patent Office.
The Bilateral Cooperation Agreement is based on the strategic document for Cooperation with the Member States of the European Patent Organization for 2012-2015, approved by a decision of the Administrative Council contained in document CA/85/11.
The cooperation between the two Offices will take place and is based on three main pillars relating to:
- strengthening the capacity of the Office through training, seminars and workshops;
- raising the level of data exchange between the Offices and
- preparing materials for training and promotion of patents and innovations.
The cooperation of the State Industrial Property Office with the European Patent Office will continue at the executive level in the bodies and organs of the Organization.
