Macedonian Inventions at the International Exhibition “Innovations by Women Inventors” KIWIE 2012, Seoul, South Korea (1 - 4 May 2013)
The State Industrial Property Office of the Republic of Macedonia participated in the International Exhibition “Innovations by Women Inventors”, which was held from 1 to 4 May in Seoul, South Korea. 26 countries, 168 women inventors who presented themselves with 263 inventions took part in the exhibition. The Republic of Macedonia this year presented itself with two inventions in the field of mechanical engineering by the inventor Žaklina Stamboliska and in the field of chemistry by the inventor Dr. Blagica Cekova. The inventions at the exhibition were evaluated by the KIWIE 2013 Expert Committee, consisting of members, experts from various fields of science and technology, as well as special awards from other participants and representatives.
The KIWIE 2013 Expert Committee awarded the following awards for the presented Macedonian inventions:
1. GOLD MEDAL with a diploma for the invention “METHOD FOR PROACTIVE MONITORING OF THE CONDITION OF SLOW-ROTATING MACHINES” for the invention of Žaklina Stamboliska.
2. BRONZE MEDAL with a diploma for the invention “SYNTHESIS OF ZEOLITE OF TYPE A4 FROM NATURAL RAW MATERIAL TREPE from the Republic of Macedonia” was awarded to Dr. Blagica Cekova.
During the award ceremony, special awards were also given for the best invention KIWIE 2013.
Special awards were given for the invention:
1. “METHOD FOR PROACTIVE MONITORING OF THE CONDITION OF SLOW-ROTATING MACHINES” by Žaklina Stamboliska, as follows:
-GOLD MEDAL from the attending representative of the World Intellectual Property Organization WIPO
-GOLD MEDAL with a Diploma from the Taiwan Inventors Association.
- Diploma from the Institute for Research and Development at the Rajamangala University of Technology in Thailand.
2. “SYNTHESIS OF ZEOLITE TYPE A4 FROM NATURAL RAW MATERIAL "TREPEL" from the Republic of Macedonia” to Dr. Blagica Cekova was awarded:
- CUP with Diploma for the best invention from the president of the inventors INVENTION POT, and founder of the Cooperative Program between IFIA and INVENTION POT
The Macedonian stand attracted great influence not only on the International Jury but also on the other participants of the fair, as well as on the visitors.
